This gathering convened by California Community Foundation, Jewish Community Foundation of Los Angeles, Southern California Grantmakers, & Youth Philanthropy Connect, was designed to develop, enhance, and catalyze youth & next gen philanthropy in our region and among participants. Attendees ranged greatly in experience, from those already deeply engaged in grantmaking to those just looking to get started! YPC was excited to provide this event for participants to connect, share experiences, and learn together!

Hannah Goldsobel is the 2016-17 Social Action Vice-President of UNITY, the youth group at University Synagogue. Last year, Hannah was the UNITY 9th grade philanthropy guide. Hannah learned how to capture philanthropic ideas and turn them into solid results. One notable project was the Sock Hop Sock Drive which raised substantial funds to provide hundreds of pairs of socks to the Los Angeles homeless community. As the Social Action Vice-President of UNITY, Hannah has incorporated social justice into an active and fun program which keeps others engaged in tikum olam. Currently, Hannah is a sophomore at Windward School in Los Angeles, California and was accepted into Camp Newman’s upcoming summer long social justice program in northern California.
