This gathering convened by California Community Foundation, Jewish Community Foundation of Los Angeles, Southern California Grantmakers, & Youth Philanthropy Connect, was designed to develop, enhance, and catalyze youth & next gen philanthropy in our region and among participants. Attendees ranged greatly in experience, from those already deeply engaged in grantmaking to those just looking to get started! YPC was excited to provide this event for participants to connect, share experiences, and learn together!

Alexis met the Fox family when she was 12 years old as a foster youth. She has been around the foundation since its inception and its work has influenced her path. Alexis is the Program Officer for the Foundation, supporting grantees and serving as the advisor for the Foundation’s Junior Board. She studied Political Science, specifically the intersection between family and government, and graduated Cum Laude from Tufts University. Her life’s work has centered around foster care advocacy and working with foster teens in their successful transition to adulthood. Most recently, she worked at the Al Wooten, Jr. Heritage Center in their college readiness program. She is an avid volunteer and reader working on her Master's in Nonprofit Management from Antioch University, residing in Studio City, California.
